A 2D Souls-like prototype built in Unity, inspired by Dark Souls and Blasphemous.

Demonbound was a prototype of a side-scrolling Souls-like game.

I was responsible for integrating all provided pixel art assets and implementing all of the game systems inside Unity.

Features

  • 2D character controller with movement, jumping, and smooth animations.
  • Combat system with light/heavy attacks, combos, jump attack, and charge attack.
  • Healing flasks
  • Checkpoint system
  • Enemy AI with simple attack/behavior logic.
  • UI elements such as a basic HP bar.
  • Audio integration for combat and environment sounds.
  • Lighting setup.
